Joel Greenblatt has said that he owns a very concentrated portfolio (5-8 stocks) and Mohnish Pabrai has also said that Joel Greenblatt owns only 5-8 stocks because those are his very best ideas and he believes in investing everything in your top ideas. Therefore, I figured that Gotham's 13F would be really useful since I can study those companies and determine if I want to invest in any of them. However, when I look at gurufocus or whalewisdom or any of those sites, Gotham seems to have 900+ stocks in its portfolio. Does anyone follow Greenblatt and know why there is this discrepancy?
