So, yesterday was a big step for me... I just signed a new lease and am moving the first of July. But what's surpising is that I'm not moving in a house or in a bigger apartment... I'm moving in a smaller one. I will be going from a 3 1/2 to a 1 1/2.
I also was really bringing home too much crap and I had to stop. Also, I almost never invited people over amd it was starting to cost me quite a lot.
I have already started selling and donating my stuff since last week. I've never felt as fulfilled as right now. Getting rid of my junk and unused crap and clothing feels so good.
Since my new apartment will be tiny, I will be building a frame to put my bed on top of my desks and storage bins. I ill try to only keep the minimum.
By daving this money, I will be able to invest in hiking and camping, save to buy and convert a van to a campervan. I want to livr more frugally and closer to nature. I want to enjoy life and not just sit in front of a PC.
So with this, my first step is already on the way.
On a sode note, i also cleaned my Youtube subscription list to mostly keep survival, homesteading and related videos. Same goes for reddit. I removed all my gaming subreddit amd only keeping some active subreddits that I enjoy and feel fulfilled by reading them. I also removed all negative subreddits (morbidreality, etc.). As for Facebook, I did a mega cleanup and went back to 80 friends (almost half which is family). Only kept close people or people I enjoy reading / exchanging with (there's like 5 of them).
I am not done yet though. I want to continue and change my habits even more, but let's go with baby steps.
Thanks for reading my first post here.
