My New Years resolution was to save $1,000 as an emergency fund. I did it in less than two months! I deposited $300 the third week in January and I've finally hit $1k. I don't feel like I'm trapped anymore. I know I can save and continue to save money. I can pay down my debts but now I don't feel like a small emergency will render us homeless. My new goal is $5k in the emergency fund by the end of the year and 50% of our debt paid off! Thank you guys so much for the inspiration!
