Instead of paying 6.99/lb at the deli, you can buy cheap turkey tenderloins and cook them yourself. I realize this is a dumbly simple idea but I never really thought about it because when it comes to the poultry section I would only ever look at the cheapest thing...chicken.

So you get 1.75 lbs of turkey as 2 tenderloins, which equates to about $3.40 per pound of turkey, all you have to do is cook it and you have Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches costing less than a dollar each for your weekly lunch meals.

I'm not sure if this counts as frugal or if I'd have to raise the turkey's myself, butcher, then store and eat to qualify, but it saves me some cash and I still can eat well.
