One of the ways I used to make ends meet was to scour the thrift stores for designer clothing/shoes. I would take my best finds and got o the re-sale/ consignment stores and sell them. Typically I would get items in my size that i liked, so that if they didn't sell, I could use them. This didn't bring me a ton of money, but the extra 50-75 bucks a month definitely eased the worry about gas money, or a few groceries. I would often take the same items back to the shop repeatedly, until they sold. Just because one buyer isn't into it, does not mean that a different employee won't be. Most stores will pay a lower dividend for cash and a higher payout in trade, so if you need clothes and don't want to spend money, this is also a great way to do that. Like a clothing swap on a small business level.
