I'm 19 without a University degree and am not attending any school at the moment. Last summer I worked at a tourist agency. The boss was very pleased with my work and told me that there are many people with University degrees that couldn't have done a better job. A client from Europe that I am "responsible for" talked to my boss and I later got the news that all the time they ate lunch he was talking about me and how good of a job I'm doing and that hopefully I would continue next summer. It really comes down to that I have good people skills, speak multiple languages and have a broad range of knowledge and experience.
I have asked some in my family and they say either; "You should ask for more money. They are very interested in you." or "Not at your age. You don't even have a degree. They wouldn't like that."
So I'm a bit afraid that it would come off as though I am some big shot and that they wouldn't take it well. I'm very pleased with the salary that they are giving me but I feel that they are very interested in hiring me again for the summer and needless to say a raise is a raise.
