i'm new to this so i'm writing all my questions at once... i am about to get engaged (i'm the woman, want to pick out my own ring.) and i think there are much better ways to spend money than on a ring. all i care about is that it sparkles and it's durable, i've done a lot of research and want either a moissanite, an amora gem, or a used ring. (btw, older treads say moissanite is gray etc, but that's usually with the older versions of moissanite like forever classic and sometimes forever brilliant. apparently forever ones are much better.)
so i know about betterthandiamond.com, moissaniteco.com (everyone raves about that one on weddingbee.com forums), idonowidont.com, ebay, etsy. loupetroop.com and diamondbistro.com. other big sites tend to sell forever brilliant but i think i want the newer, whiter forever one (some people prefer forever brilliant though.)
does anyone know another other sites to get even antiquey rings? my hands and fingers are child size so size won't be a problem. i went to leigh jay nacht in nyc and know about doyle and doyle but on the days i went i couldn't find anything i loved, even though leigh was a great store ( i didn't go to doyle.)
i live in nyc and don't know what a good pawn shop would be to go to, and wonder if there is a great online pawnshop/website.
any tips appreciated, otherwise i'll go with etsy or betterthandiamond.com THANK YOu!!
