I was watching a video where people had to guess the number of jelly beans in a jar. There were 160 people who guessed, some guessed numbers like 400 and others guessed numbers like 50000. The average of all the guesses came out to be 4514.89688. The actual number of jelly beans in the jar was 4510. A difference of only 4.89688!!!
So, if a group of people can get an average prediction relatively accurately, can we as a whole guess the price of stock relatively accurately in the future? I want to test this out. Write down your expectation of the price of $FB (Facebook) at end of this Friday. The current price is $127.92 (Jan 18, 2017).
