For this question, I'm not interested in cooking quality, length of time, or amount of effort needed. Just cost.

I have a standalone rice cooker that plugs into an outlet. (My rice cooker model is Black & Decker RC3406.)

I have an electric stove.

Assuming that I am using the same quantity and same type of rice in each pot, which one costs less per pot? In other words, what is more energy efficient, an electric stove or rice cooker?

Does anyone have an idea of what the cost difference would be (in the US)? The difference may not be great, but considering that I make rice three times a day, every day, the difference rapidly multiplies.
