I am working in the bay area (San Francisco) for the next 6 months, and want to know what's the cheapest, most cost effective housing option. I am from North Carolina. I'm 28, own virtually nothing (I travel A LOT), save for a suitcase of clothes and my laptop. I have a nationwide gym membership, and shower there 90% of the time after working out. I am a cheap bastard, and would love advice on how to minimize living costs. All the short term rentals I see on craigslist are still 1000+ a month!!! I do have a car, but living in it does not seem to be an option based on local laws. Thanks!
