Hey guys!
I own an LLC that is based out of Florida (where there is no state tax) at a family member's address, but I physically live in California. I do all of my work on a laptop and work from my apartment here and I've listed California as my mailing address.
I received a letter in the mail titled CITY OF LOS ANGELES - BUSINESS TAX APPLICATION AB63/SB1146, which I think is saying I did business out here in 2015. I came out for a weekend in 2015 to shoot a music video and must've used my business card for it, so is it possible that is what they're looking to see? OR, are they busting me for living out here (though I moved at the start of 2016).
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
