Unfortunately, I am often cheap instead of frugal and it comes back to bite me.
I needed a smart phone for my side business (need internet access and good pics). I also wanted a smart phone for useless games and stuff.
About a year ago, I bought a used LG G3 ($160) and hooked it up to Page Plus Cellular ($40/month). Unfortunately, I have to be on the Verizon network because I'm in a rural area. I tried a Karma once and it did not get signal.
There is something wrong with my plan or auto-refill with PagePlus almost every month. It only takes a few minutes to fix it, usually, but I end up having to call since the internet won't work (or whatever) and its just a pain.
Similarly, the camera on my phone no longer works correctly (to be fair, I drop it a bunch but the screen never breaks and I have a good case on it). It originally was perfectly adequate for my needs, so I don't need anything fancier. Google did not reveal how to fix it, and the local fixit guy had no clue and won't even try.
Any ideas for getting a phone that works, cheaply, to use either with PagePlus or some other cheap plan that uses Verizon network? I really do not want to have to pay for another "new to me" phone, but I need a camera that works.
