I picked up two Superdry coats during their 50% off sale last week: the Stock Coat and the Houndstitch Harrington. Both are wool/polyester blends.
I'm keeping the Stock Coat and returning the Harrington. Quick reviews of each.
Stock Coat
Surprisingly better made than I was expecting, given the price (just under $95) and the negative feedback about this brand in the sale thread.
Seams are all neatly finished; pockets are lined; the wool/poly blend is pleasantly soft and pliable, more than I've experienced with other brands' wool blends. It's thicker and heavier than I expected, too.
There are two internal pockets and three external. One drawback is that none of the internal pockets can hold a large phone.
This coat runs on the long side, though the chest/shoulders are TTS. I'm 5'7", and the Small hits just above my knees. 36" chest and the top block fits well. It's a slim, tailored fit that looks quite flattering. I'm going to get the sleeves shortened an inch.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the fit and quality and will be looking into more stuff from this brand. I like that the Small feels like an actual Small and doesn't leave me swimming in it. #manletproblems
Houndstitch Harrington
This jacket is as well-made as the stock coat. Quilted lining, soft wool/poly blend shell, neat seams, etc.
Unfortunately, the sleeves are baggy and ridiculously long. It's almost like they sewed the sleeves from a Large onto the body of a Small. If you're tall and/or long-armed, this shouldn't be an issue.
The harrington was a steal at $62, but sadly the sleeve issue means it's getting returned.
ETA
Superdry has pretty obnoxious branding on many of their products, but both of these jackets come with small sewn-on metal badges that can be easily removed. Branding is minimal except for the interior lining.
Any questions, fire away. Sorry, no fit pics.
