Hiya! I am fairly new to BIFL, but I have been a long time practitioner of the philosophy. This is my first post in this sub, so let me know if I have somehow misunderstood any rules or break any taboos.
I am looking for a pair of BIFL jungle boots, like the military M-1942 Jungle Boots utilized in the Vietnam War era. I just can't seem to find a pair that lasts. A reinforced toe would be great but not a deal breaker. I could see myself spending up to $300, maybe $400 depending on how good the warranty is.
I am also curious who makes the best and most durable space bags. My wife and I travel several times a year and enjoy camping. We like to use space bags to optimize our packing space, but have to pack extras because it is a roll of the dice as to how long they last. Bonus points if the space bag can be operated by both an electric (such as a vacuum) and an analog pump. I am hoping to get into a new set for less than $100 for enough of them to try out for a while.
