I work construction, long hard days, 10-12 hours on hard flat surfaces, concrete. I ran through 3 pairs of boots this year. I had the sole literally fall off my timberland pros after a few months. the soles on my redwings are cracking. I didn't want to buy 200-300 boots again so I bought some shitty brahmans a few times. They last maybe 3 months. I'm so fed up. I've fell done a hole on the internet researching. I've read all the subs on hear with the word redwing in it, the verdict is obvious, they aren't what they used to be, but better then most. Then I keep hearing about these Chippewas, thorogoods, and whites. I looked at some of there catalogs. There websites all suck. And most of the boots look like there from the first half of this century and not meant to be abused work horse. My question is, is there a resource somewhere I'm overlooking that actually does a decent job at compiling, rating, and reviewing top work boots?? Also I'd like to hear what work boots you guys like. What you've had the most success with. I get that they all aren't what they used to be, I'm past that, but what ones have you had success with? After all the research I've done I still am hopeful for a solid pair of redwings, I can get them sewed up within a year, and I can go to there local store.
Thanks
