So, i'm very new to investing. I bought an ETF, and plan on holding it for 40+years. My question is this...do I buy more shares at certain intervals, or do I stick with the same number of shares and let the interest do the work. I only ask because if I keep buying shares of my ETF, wont the cost of the shares go up everytime I try to buy? Also, when I buy more shares, they aren't sitting in the IRA for as long as the previous shares, so I won't make as much off of them. Is that correct? I set up DRIP on my ETF. Was that the correct thing to do?
