I'm on a mobile app, so I aplogize if this doesn't turn out. If this needs to be moved to the moronic monday thread go for it.

I'm 33, no debt, solid job. I already max my roth 401K and now I've got about 20K I've been sitting on that I want to invest, but I'm not entirely sure how.

I'm leaning twoards a Vangaurd index fund, but there are literally so many options I don't know what the best options are. I'd also like to invest in a few stocks seperately but I'm not sure what the options are there as well. Can I do both through Vangaurd or is there a better option? I lurk regularly here but there are so many different schools of thought it's hard to know what is the best route.

Any advice and/or resources I can get is appreciated.

EDIT: I say options far too often
