Currently, my SO's little brother is living with us. After talking to him time and time again, he still keeps blasting the heat and not only is the house like an oven, the bill is going up and of course he doesn't care when he doesn't pay for it. (That's a story for another time perhaps, because I could vent about it for days. so if anyone is going to say to kick him out or tell him to get a job and pay for it, just know that it's just not as simple as that, or he'd be gone. He's a teenager, if that helps put things into perspective.)
He always turns up the temperature to 82 degrees so when we're not home the heat is constantly running.
I've seen those nest thermostats, but we can't really afford a $200+ thermostat, but nor can we afford this heat bill either...So is there any other thermostat that can lock in the temperature so no one can mess with it?
