I feel like this is a stupid question but I've never seen it answered. I have outstanding student loans that do not require payment for another year. I wanted to begin building a payment history to improve my credit though I cannot afford to repay these loans at the moment. What is the absolute minimum amount I can pay to create a positive payment history? $5.00? $1.00? $0.50? $0.01?
