I'm a 29 year old investing money in my IRA/401k that I'm not touching until I'm 60. Right now I'm exclusively buying small-cap value ETFs, because the research I've done shows that historically this market sector has the best returns.

At this point in my life/career I have no problem with the volatility and just want maximum performance in the long term. My favorite fund is "SLYV" which I like because it has relatively low expense ratio, includes the truly small companies, and has outperformed all other small-cap value funds over the past 10 years that I can find.

Eventually I will need to diversify with another ETF which represents another sector with the following characteristics: has high return historically, has low correlation with small-cap value (if that's possible), is something I can buy with a brokerage account inside an IRA/401k. Does anyone have any recommendations? Perhaps REITs or some kind of international sector?
