So I was at home (NY) last night and I heard a loud crash. Two cars collided with each other and hit my parked car.

This is the situation: CAR CRASH PIC

My car is in the middle. As you can see, my car was able to avoid direct hit by a couple of inches. However it was not spared. My vehicle sustained damaged rear bumper, dents scratches on passenger side and driver's side door.

Smoke was coming out of both cars and after taking tons of pics, I moved my car to a safer place. So far it does not have any mechanical problems, only cosmetic problems (paintm dent, sratch).

So Police came and took my registration, license, insurance etc. They will be making a police report. I will get it in 5 business days. They said the other party's information will be there.

I have reported it to my insurance- GEICO. My car is brand new, so I have full coverage.

The other party was immediately sent to the hospital so I was not able to get info about them except that the insurance of the car adjacent to me is Countrywide Insurance.

I read the reviews of that insurance, it sucks.

Question is, #1 should I claim my own insurance (GEICO)? I have $1,000 deductible which they say I can get back cause its no fault. I have more than enough emergency fund (thanks /r/personalfinance) to cover these.

Or pursue the other car's insurance (Countrywide), in which I know will give me a hard time.

#2 I go to a specific shop that I trust and I know will use OEM parts. I don't think GEICO has them on their preferred shops, would that be ok?

#3 This is most probably no fault right? Would my insurance go up?

#4 Any general tips advice with regards to scenarios like this? Never been in this kind of accident before. Thanks!
