Fiancee and I have been together for several years and decided we should get a joint credit card of some form for shared expenses. Groceries, utilities, going out with friends, airline tickets, etc. As it stands right now one person usually pays for big purchases and the other person uses PayPal to pay them back. For small purchases we don't really bother paying each other back.

However, now that we are engaged we want to start managing our money a little better and figured a joint credit card would be best. We would each like to maintain our own credit cards for our own purchases so we would open a new credit card jointly or single + authorized user. I've got two CCs now (amazon and chase sapphire) and partner has one (generic BOA I think).

Are all CCs pretty much created equal for the purposes of a joint account? Is there anything we should consider when going down this route?

As an aside, we have total trust in each other, and are both debt free and in a strong financial position. Once we pay for a wedding and buy a house financial position will be a little different, but we both have good paying jobs making about the same. We also plan on maintaining separate bank accounts for now.
