I've been working for my company for 18months and have a performance review next week. I am hoping for a 10% raise as I've done quite well with the company by my personal assessment. I was hoping to push for an extra week of vacation as well. I plan to defend my position for the vacation in a different way than for my raise (travel a lot, work many weekends, have volunteered to travel in place of other co-workers when they had conflicts, have had discussions about staying longer in field to learn next stage of field operations). Is it too much to ask for both a 10% raise and 5 more days of vacation?

I feel some people may think vacation is more of a "seniority" reward than one given on merit. /r/personalfinance what do you think?
