I was hit by a car over a year ago and as a result just received a settlement of $5000. I'm 30, have a modest house and an almost 5 year old kid. No major bills aside from house related,and everything in the house is in new or like new condition, so not much concern there. I'd like to save some, but other then that I was contemplating a vacation (under $1000) as it's been over a decade since I've taken anything close to one. Aside from that, any advice on what to do with it?
