I'm turning 20 in a few months, and I've got my heart set on moving to Australia to be with my SO in the next 1 or 2 years. Problem is, I don't know how to do it.

I read this thread very often but I usually find myself saying "this doesn't apply to me" or "I wish I understood these concepts". So I'm asking for a jump start.

Background: Dropped out of high school in my 3rd year, went to a local college and passed the GED course with flying colors. I'm not dumb, I just can't deal with the slow classroom set up. I moved out of my parents house when I was 18 with some support. I'm currently renting a room from some friends for $600 a month and was living paycheck to paycheck up until last month when seasonal laid me off. I currently get $400 dollars a month from family, and have been making the rest of it through my own business doing sewing commissions.

My goals are 1. Getting out of the retail work loop. 2. Successfully saving money and no longer needing assistance from my family.

I'd really appreciate any opinions or tips given. I can't keep living with minimum wage keeping me in the hole.

EDIT: Getting further education is not a viable option at the moment.
