Textbooks are mad expensive. Luckily, I discovered this website in sophomore year. Basically, instead of buying a brand new overpriced textbook from your university bookstore, this website aggregates the cheapest prices for the same textbook (whether it's a used copy or a rented copy).

In some cases, renting is cheaper than even a used textbook. I've probably saved $500 using this website.

Another tip: If there's an option for an ebook, I'd suggest emailing your future professor, asking if you can use your laptop in class for the ebook. If it's not an important class where you're fine with a B or C and they say yes, you can also get an excuse to use your laptop in class!
