Hi guys,
I got laid off last week - and it was immediate due to budget cuts and restructuring of my firm. I was given a decent severance plan. In a nut shell, I am not worried about my finances (for now), as I have a heft emergency fan and my fiance can support us with her salary alone.
With that being said, I am confused about COBRA. My company said they will pay for my first month. Am I required to start paying a month from now, or is there a 30/60 day period where I can get away with not?
edit: I live with my fiance, is there a way I can jump on her plan?
