So little about me- I am a 911 dispatcher (USA) that makes eh, 36k per year before taxes. I don't have a lot of expenses (see below) and live with a roommate which helps offset the costs. I want your opinion on what I am doing so far and what I need to be doing to fully live a frugal lifestyle. Here is my budget: Rent: 405/mo Elect: ~50-60/mo Cell: 46/mo Student Loans: 361/mo, but I pay more so it is more like 1k Groceries: 100ish/mo
My goal is I want to get my student loans paid off ASAP so I have no debt. I buy generic food brands which helps lower my grocery costs. Electric wise the company overs a balanced billing which helps you save money. Again, the roommate factor helps make rent cheaper. What else should I be doing? I will provide any clarification as I can (sorry if I left out any info).
