Hey all,

I apologize if this is the wrong sub, I figured you guys might have have some input.

I was in the hospital for 5 days and had to have my gallbladder removed along with a few other procedures. The bill came out to almost 200k. Luckily I have health insurance. My total responsibility comes to roughly 4,000 after all is said and done. This is really troublesome because this puts a real financial strain on me. I made 27,000 last year and my annual salary comes out to roughly 35k. I have about 8,000 in savings and 1k on a credit card. The hospital I had everything done at has a financial assistance program, but they require pay stubs, recent tax returns and a list of assets. I am worried that they will look at my 8k in savings and write me off completely.

I need this 8k, this is my life savings and I need to buy a new car because the one I have is falling apart. Does anyone have any input? This will significantly set me back financially.

Thanks in advance
