Hello,I just bought my first home and am in the process of a few projects. I have never ran wiring before but have done some light electrical (replacing switches, outlets and lights).Details: My Router will be in the living room on the main floor, underneath the office I want a hardline ran to. The hardline will be connected to extender/splitter on the 2nd floor.Question: What is the best way to run Ethernet or 'cat 6' through and up a wall from one room to another that are on top of each other? Do I check outlet alignments on each floor and see if I can fish it through?Obviously I could just punch a hole in the floor but that would be ghetto.Any input is appreciated!
