I recently applied for a job at a company using ziprecruiter, and was contacted back saying the position had been filled but they had an opening for an at-home personal assistant job, part time, where they will mail me a check for pay every week. Their first task is to go buy all this stuff to send to foster homes, but the kicker is they are going to send me a check for it all, plus my first weeks pay. I've researched the company as best as I can and it all looks legit, but I'm still suspicious.
I'm NOT going to deposit the check into my own account, I'll cash it if anything, but has anyone heard of a scam like this? Any ideas?
