Right now I have a portfolio worth around £28,500, I don't know how much in dollars, maybe around the $34,000 mark (since the pound took a beating recently). I want to know is it realistic to be able to generate £1000 a month from only dividends, and how long this would take.
Say I average 4% a year in dividends, if I compound that, while adding a £1000 a month into the portfolio, roughly how long would it take?
