I'm looking for some folks who have had experience with this. It's time to diversify into real estate for me. I was walking through my neighborhood and noticed a notice in one of my neighbor's windows. It appears the home was auctioned in early January to CitiMortgage. I researched online and it says they paid $29k for this home that appraised for $150k. Did they get this home for $29k or am I missing something? I have cash and want to call and ask if they take a large premium for cash. This would allow me to get a rental property and also control who's next to me. I'm guessing I'll never find a way to get Citi to respond?
