Say you have a portfolio of 30 companies in various sectors that are blue chip/or very strong fundamentals. I understand the fact that you're not getting nearly as much diversification as with an index fund, but my main concern is if everyone has the idea to buy index funds, then won't index funds become overvalued? Therefore, aren't you betting on the idea of investing in index funds continuing to be popular in the future to drive the price of funds to new highs (relative to the valuation of the equities they track)?
