I'm a 24 year old woman, in a long-term relationship. My partner and I talk about having children all the time. And I think about how much I'd love to raise them and tend our home.

I recently completed a B.Sc. degree and it is a huge achievement. I hope I can find part-time work that uses the knowledge and discipline I learned at university.

But right now I'm most excited about making a home. Cooking, cleaning, organizing, loving and caring for children, doing little special things for my husband and children, and generally helping people feel warm and safe. I didn't have that at all when I was growing up - I was neglected and abused. I can't think of anything more meaningful for me than creating the kind of loving home life I never got to have.

Any homemakers on this sub? Anyone who can relate? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
