Perhaps there will be a long lull in commodity prices for the next 10 years or so.
historical commodity prices seem to spike once every 20 or 30 years or so.
They seem to have spiked in the 2008-2011 era and come down to a more reasonable level since then. See this chart: http://ift.tt/2jhzBzp
We may need to wait 10-20 years before we see another surge in precious metals and other commodities.
What do you folks think? If you look at some of the major commodity companies such as Rio Tinto, BHP Butillion, Vale SA, etc, you see a comeback in prices this year, but wel lbelow the 5 year average and way down from the glorious 2011 levels.
