I have been living under a rock since October - no tv and no wifi in my apartment, all mobile data. I made it this far!!!! I'm not sure if the devices for home networking will see big price drops, but for tvs, after reading a few articles, they're likely to. I have narrowed down my brand choices to Vizio, Samsung, LG, Sony, Panasonic, and possibly Insignia. Budget is around $300. How soon after the CES 2017 ended should I buy a tv? I have seen articles saying it's also a good time to buy around the Super Bowl.
I'm also thinking of buying one now and use the Price Protection feature on my Discover card. Did I just answer my own question?
As to the modems and routers, reddit has taught me to get separate devices, so I'm getting the TP-Link Archer C7 and the Arris SB6141.
