Hello /r/DIY!I just bought a new construction house in June and my kitchen is lacking in drawer space. There is no place for silverware or spices, which is a bit annoying. The sink and dishwasher are on a big island, and the cabinets on one side of the island don't go all the way out to the end of the countertop. Here are pictures of my current situationI'd like to extend this side of the cabinets out to about 2" short of the countertop and put in a wide set of drawers (one for silverware, one or two for spices, etc.). I have some basic woodworking/carpentry experience, but I'm not an expert by any means. I have access to most of the common tools (circ saw, table saw, router, etc.).My questions for you:Is it feasible for me to do this myself? Can I do this without taking the countertop off?How should I do this?Thanks!!!(x-post to /r/woodworking) via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2kuVzQD
