BPA-free and preferably no plastic at all. I've read that say certain manufacturers claim BPA-free but they use polycarbonate for the viewing window. I don't know anything about polycarbonates or BPA other than I'd prefer to not take any chances. Bonus points for same-day delivery on Amazon. Whole family is laid-up with the flu and our kettle just broke.
