I hate shopping. I don't like spending money. However, I desperately needed new shoes. Thanks to my ankles and Achilles' tendons, I need mid cut boots, with great arch support. I have found Merrells to be the best for my feet and legs.
Unfortunately, Merrell is an expensive shoe. I have been looking in their shops and online for about three months and resigned myself to spending $150.
I was at the DFO in Harbour Town on the Gold Coast yesterday and found a pair of RidgePass mid cut for $80 in my size. I was stoked.
On the way out, I passed a kitchen shop going out of business and also bought a TuffCast Blue 30cm Cast Iron skillet, reduced from $169 to $30.
Normally I find the DFO's to be barely cheaper than normal retail, and often find things cheaper elsewhere or online. If I go there, I mostly leave disappointed.
Not this time though, and if anyone from SEQ is looking for kitchen gear, the shop in Harbour Town closes on January 29 and is currently having a 70% off sale.
