I've found something that really ended up working for me so I figured I'd share it. A big problem we had when we grocery shopping was trying to balance two things: eating simple meals with few ingredients, but also not being bored enough to say nvm I'm going to Taco Bell.
So what I started doing was lumping meals together with simliar ingredients. So one week, Mexican food since a lot of the meals have the same ingredients. One week for more Thai/Indian inspired meals. So that I'm not buying a bottle of curry or a jar of cream for one freaking meal.
I set up a bunch of different weeks and tried to keep the grocery list minimal for each week and then I plan on which week it is by going to the Publix app every Wednesday and Thursday, and seeing what's on sale.
Buying minimal ingredients, on sale, without sacrificing quality of life. Just wanted to share in case this helps anyone else out.
