I recently read the article below on Abbot after searching for good value stocks in 2017 to add to my portfolio.
A Nice Deal In An Increasingly Expensive Market $ABT http://ift.tt/2i30140
I like a lot about this stock but only have a surface level understanding on the company.
From the article above and other research I've done I've figured out as much below
-most of its revenue is from medical equipment and devices vs biotech (I read they spun biotech into another company) -several executives picked up shares the last 8-10 weeks -undervalued vs the s&p and healthcare sector -pull back from its mid 2015 high never recovered -odd combination of more temporary setbacks and negative speculation caused the stock to get beat up vs fundamental weaknesses with the company
Anyone with knowledge on the company or opinions on it feel free to comment or elaborate to see if I'm on the right track here. I know very little about the healthcare industry myself but at the surface there seems like some positive signs here.
