Last summer a former employer called and asked if I could work at a special event at their restaurant. The year before they screwed up my taxes and I had to pay $400 instead of getting a $200 refund, so I verified with them that this would be handled properly. I worked for 4 hours and received a check for $38.20, plus about $10 in tips. This was the only time I worked for them in the year 2016. I just got my W-2 and they reported my income as $512 and my tips as $90. What recourse do I have?
