Back story - About 6 months ago my grandfather moved in with me and my mother since his sickness had made him unable to take care of himself. I took a leave of absence from college and took up a part time job. I moved back into my mothers house full time. During this time my mom was having a long legal battle with his wife to gain power of attorney. She finally won and his wife is now out of our family's life. My father and mother have been divorced for 15 years, I spend time with both of them and care about them very much. Although my parents hate each other and haven't spoken in years. My father works in a union and was laid off about 4 months ago and has been unable to get work. He's now in debt and unable to pay rent.
I've helped support my father off the money I saved from my part time job but now that my own savings have been depleted I was hoping to tap into whatever money my grandfather left for me. My mother refuses to give me a cent since she hates my father, is there anything I can do?
Tdlr: grandfather passed away, left me some money in his will. Father is now in debt and I wish to help fund him until he gets back onto his feet. My mother refuses to give me a cent. Please help.
