Hi there,

I'm currently with Woodforest. Yep, the Walmart bank. Anyway. I've been considering switching banks recently. This is the first bank account I've had for more than two years. My first three accounts basically went down in flames because I was irresponsible. First was a joint account with my mom, second a Bank of America keep the change account that I couldn't keep track of the change part and kept over drawing. And the third was a checking account I ended up canceling because I lost a job and had to move.

It's not that I dislike Woodforest, but I've started to get a bad feeling about them and I just want to know what I should look for when switching a bank. I've been told to shop around, so what exactly am I shopping for?

Things I like about WF: mobile app. No monthly fee if using direct deposit. Convenience of one stop shopping.

Things I don't like: Being at Wal-Mart. Being at Wal-Mart where I feel obligated to buy something just because I'm there anyway.

Thanks!
