So my friend had an health plan through an employer and I've asked him about HSA and after 4 years finally heard that they had 1 but they got a letter that it was canceled and they received a check in the mail.. now I got the benefit info and he should've been getting $1,100 a year from employer contribution. I'm about to go full speed ahead on forcing him to talk to HR but I'm worried he missed all the years of contributions.. how screwed is he and anything I (well he) could do to try to get the payments from prior years?
