I just entered the work force in Janurary, I live alone and I have 0 family in the country. I work a regular 12-8. Every single financial burden is on me and I need help. I take home about 1600$ bi-weekly after 100$ 401k contribution, taxes, health insurance, etc.
Here are my expenses:
Rent: 1180$
Car: 300$
Gas: 50$
Auto Insurance: 120$ (Probably going up end of year)
Utilities (Electric, water & Wifi): 135$
Groceries and eating out: 300-400$ a month?
Investments: 200$
HYSA/Emergency fund: 200$
Hobbies: 200$
Others: 100-200$
It leaves me with around 200-300$ a month give or take, which I always put into a emergency fund. And it feels like every 2 months something financially huge justs comes in and beats me up and my emergency fund goes to 0. First it was moving, then an auto accident, and now a personal emergency. I don't know what to do if something if my car breaks down or something finanically major happens to me again.
I don't know what to do, it feels like i'm literally saving nothing up. It feels like im not earning enough money. I feel like im eternally trapped in a cycle where I see my checkings and savings accounts always near 0. I want to get rid of my car and use public transit, but my workplace is almost 2 hours away by bus.
