I have about 12,000 in savings and no 401k. I would basically be using the Roth for retirement. I’m thinking of investing in the SMP500 index. I’m not sure how much to put in there to start out i still want to have some savings for an emergency fund. I was thinking 5,000? Or is that too risky? I’ve never invested in anything before.
