Hello investing reddit, before you continue reading if i have english issues sorry this isn't my first language but i will try to keep them to a minimum. I saw ab Advice thread and I will follow its format.
- I am 20, I live in Colorado.
- I am currently employed but I will be ending it at as I plan on taking more classes.
- I have no idea what to do with this money. Ive never had more than 100$ in the past years. Beginning my first year Ive been blessed with 3k$ in returns for the school year. This is not alot to you guys I am aware but I have not been in charge of this much monet ever. SO i didnt touch it. When I started my 2nd year Ive got 4k in returns(my school works off quarters so there is 3 academic quarters with one summer one). I have got 8k in returns and will get an additional 4k in the near future. Thankfully I dont need to help my parents with bills that much so i can keep most of the money.I know that this is an amazing opportunity so i want to maximize this as much i can.
- Im not sure if I need this money by next month. I dont know what the future holds but if things go well it will just sit there. I think if i live another 20 years it would be nice to have money
- Im not familiar with blackjack but i think that is gambling. Growing up with no money never allowed me to experience what it felt like losing it all(lol) but I dont really care if its a little risk. I think there is a saying "no risk no reward" in english that i like.
- I dont have any holding. Ive been trying to educate myself on Roth IRA(still a bit confused), HYSA, BOA and a bunch of other stuff like index funds and stocks. Its alot so im going to learn.
- 0 debt.
If this post would be better in a different community i will delelte it. But i will take any advice.
