I come from a family of EXTREME poverty, and wasn't even taught anything about the credit score system until I was 19 or 20. Strings of bad luck, and lack of information led me to not be able to turn my credit around until 3 years ago or so. Up until early last year, my credit was in the 4s, now it's in the high 6s, low 7s. I work at a help desk and I make $56K/yr (expected to make a little more than that cause raise time, but my company is weird and they don't issues raises till Feb it seems). Been there for almost 1.5 years. Prior to the age of 29-ish, I've never been a consistent person......with anything tbh. I want to turn my life around. I have no type of life insurance, no type of plan (like IRA or whatever), nothing.
Any sort of books, YT (YouTube) channels or something that people can recommend for me to do better financially, like to learn about savings, stocks, or something like that? And just overall ideas will help too.
